Language Arts Florida Standards |

The Language Arts Florida Standards (LAFS) are a new set of expectations designed to ensure all students achieve college and career readiness. Florida has adopted these standards so that their students can compete and succeed on a world stage. In the school year 2014-2015 the LAFS will be assessed by a tool currently being constructed.
The Department of English Language Arts is collaborating with other content area offices including the Department of Social Science, the Department of Mathematics and Science, and the Department of Bilingual Education and World Languages to provide professional development and resources that will assist teachers and students in understanding the new standards and embracing instructional models that will increase success. |
